Requesting Aria

Currently, R-037, or Aria, as she is colloquially known, is always available on the hidden floor, accessible through Floor 101. This floor is common knowledge to anyone who was in the Tower at the dawn of the new year; its existence is not broadcasted publicly, but the transporter on Floor 101 is accessible to everyone and characters are free to spread the information of the hidden floor amongst themselves.

Aria is very helpful towards the characters, and, as a retrieval unit, she has access to parts of the Tower that the player characters do not. For this reason, she may be consulted about information or tasks that might require this knowledge.

Due to the size of the game, the moderation team cannot thread out every IC interaction between Aria and the player characters. Because of this, we ask that players who wish to have their characters interact with Aria report to us here! This is where you can find out what kind of help Aria would be able to give your character when they meet with her, if any.

Request: Information on why Zo would give Jason a rip in space and whether or not Aria had predicted what would have happened to him, along with why she wanted that to happen, if she tells him yes to the former.

Aria would explain that the rip in space was given in return for the collar boycott happening while Zo was watching the Tower--it was given so that Jason wouldn't harm the residents. Aria will also say that she didn't predict what would happen to him.

Request: David's got several reasons for meeting Aria—

1. In the wake of Ruana eating another admin, he's concerned about what that will mean for everyone else. He'll ask Aria if Ruana is getting stronger somehow by eating the others, and if Zo (the only other "good guy" he's heard of among the admins) is in danger of having it happen to him.

2. David's also curious about what exactly it was he donated to keep the Tower running at the end of January, and why it affected his powers and kept dropping him back in that void.

3. Seguing from #2, David will ask about the new collar fluid that Sam and Zelda mentioned to him. He's already got suspicions on this, but he wants to be sure—he wants to know whether or not that fluid will be of any benefit in his case, given that it's his powered armor suit, rifle, and gadgets that are the source of his superhuman powers.

1. Aria will explain that as far as she can figure (and she will emphasize that she doesn't know for sure but is extrapolating based on what she's observed) Ruana can consume the other administrators to absorb their abilities and powers. This could happen to Zo, but right now Ruana still dotes on Zo. Aria knows that Ruana now has Jason's abilities and is handling putting people in new bodies, but she doesn't know beyond that what it might mean.

2. Aria isn't sure, and is troubled by this. She will say that she's not sure going along with Riki was a good idea, but also admits it might just be paranoia.

3. Aria will say that in the case of characters who lack abilities as such, using the new fluid will still mean the Tower will have less control over them.

Request: Ryoji's looking for any information about how the resurrections of dead characters has changed since Ruana has taken over. He'll ask if Aria knows anything about how Ruana is bringing people back, and if there's a possibility she's bring back the old bodies instead of placing their souls in new ones, considering the bleeding people seem to be suffering after being brought back.

Aria will say that from what she's heard it seems like while Ruana has picked up Jason's abilities, without the experience Jason had, she isn't as good at reviving characters properly. She's not sure if it will improve or not, and will apologize for being vague--the chipped units are very reluctant to get close enough to Ruana to get up-close research on her.

Aria will wear anything Zelda leaves that she's capable of wearing. The rest of it will be used to decorate the hidden floor.

Aria thinks he was probably referencing how Jason got eaten. She'll mention that Ruana eating the other administrations bothers and frightens him a lot.

Aria will be impressed that he actually managed to get down there. She'll say that while that area of the Tower is inaccessible as far as she knows, it's likely information from when the Tower was in use by the people who were here before them. She won't discuss what happened with anyone!

Aria knows that Dax was doing research into it. She doesn't know how much the others were doing. She thinks the residents would be able to do it if they could get reliable access to the Tower's powerful computers downstairs.

Aria will say she's not totally sure but it's likely Ruana took it away from him. She will also say that Zo is supposed to take over Jason's months.

Aria will thank Lancer for the gifts and say that Zelda does play music for them on occasion.

Aria doesn't know if there are side effects, but she does know that their abilities are inherent to them. She doesn't know if those abilities are the cause for their world being like it is.

She would say that ultimately it's up to him if he trusts her or not. She would ask what sort of reasons he would want.

Request: After a week of increasing paranoia re: radio silence and minimalist menus after what seemed like help, he's going to go to Aria and tell her she should probably get any of her people hiding in Dax's area out because he's worried Riki is searching for them and that would seem an obvious place to look. If asked why, he'll say he thinks he saw what they found as they found it. He won't say why unless he's questioned further.

Request: England would want to know if Aria knows of any way that they could go about disposing of real corpses in the Tower -- as in, like the bodies outside and on the ground level, not the wireframes. He'll explain why if he's directly questioned or if Aria looks too perturbed by the topic.

Aria can understand the language. She will explain that it's a fairly simple book explaining the dangers of playing too close to the Tower. The book seems to treat the Tower as a force of nature rather than a corporation or research group.

Aria will say that she has a map prepared but there isn't much information yet because Riki is still being unusually scarce. However, she will eventually provide a report to him personally (as detailed in the OOC event information).

He'll admit (guiltily and sheepishly) he'd asked Riki for help, since he'd seemed to be growing more sympathetic to the residents. He'd forgotten, the technology of this world being foreign to his time, that he could see anything they were doing at all, rather than only things on the public network.

He'll add that he wants to make up for this, somehow, and ask if there's anything he could do to reverse or at least mitigate the damage this might have caused.

Request: Not exactly requesting Aria but I'm not sure where else to put this. When Xion finds out that Riki pulled the wool over their eyes Xion will be asking the AI (DJ, she's decided to name him DJ) if there's any way Riki could have tampered with the information that they received during the March hacking (and possibly the AI himself), and if he was able to do so, did he/can the AI tell if he did or not. Also, regardless of the answer she will tell it that several residents were fooled into giving him soul energy for the machine Zo uses to bring residents in and ask what he could possibly do with it (as well as ramifications in general).

Request: Zelda will ask Aria if she thinks that, should they successfully restore the worlds, it would be possible to have someone go to a world they did not originate from. If asked for an explanation, she will say that Arturia (no_longer_a_king) would return to a position of cosmic slavery if she went back to her own world, so Zelda wants to bring her to Hyrule instead. If Aria does not know, she will ask if she could inquire about it to Zo, and will write a letter to him explaining the situation if necessary.

Request: Riku was curious about the book he found outside and Enoch nudged him in the direction of the secret room. Putting two and two together, it seemed only logical to approach Aria about it to see if she could unravel the mystery.

The AI will say that the security measures put in place were specifically put there to keep Riki and Jason out; there was no way Riki could have tampered with the information. The AI will say that soul energy is extremely versatile and could be used to provide extra power to nearly anything in the Tower, barring the Tower itself.

Request: Arturia will ask Aria and any other chipped units around how the research is going. Specifically, she's going to ask about if there's any progress on powering the Tower after the countdown runs out.

They'll say that as far as powering the Tower after it runs out, they're not really sure it's possible. They've been focusing most of their efforts on trying to figure out a world recovery plan, and the Tower's power systems are so old that they were likely around even before Ruana was born, so the technology isn't well-understood to them now.
