Rules
1. Don't be a jerk. We expect everyone to treat each other well. If you are having problems with another player that cannot be worked out between you, please contact the mods!
2. No godmoding. You cannot dictated the actions of other players' characters without their permission, no matter how small the action. You also cannot assume someone else is present, did something, or would react a certain way. ALWAYS ASK.
3. IC =/= OOC What you know and what your character knows are two separate things. Do not use knowledge gained from other players or reading other logs with your own character.
Also, don't let the IC drama bleed into OOC or vice versa. Fighting and drama will happen in game and that does not mean the other player feels the same way. Likewise, your character does not react to OOC disagreements. If you are having problems please contact us.
4. Contact us if you have any problems with the game, other players, mods, etc. We welcome questions and feedback. Drop us a line at the Mod Contact Post
5. The character limit is initially FIVE characters per player. It is possible to apply for two additional character slots; if you wish to request additional character slots, you can request them here.
6. Players must be 15+ to play. This game is a horror game, please keep this in mind. Similarly, any extremely violent or sexual RP must be flocked and tagged with appropriate warnings.
7. Please post on the Drop/Hiatus Post if you're going on hiatus or dropping. It's just common courtesy to your other players, no one likes to be left hanging. Hiatus can be up to a month, if you're going to be gone longer, you'll need to talk to a mod. Posting a notice on the OOC comm is optional but helpful.
8. If you'd like to run a large plot ask us first! Player-run plots are fine, but we need a heads up. Some plots may not be appropriate or feasible, or may conflict with mod-run plots. Mods will need to give an okay on large plots.
9. Activity checks are mandatory. AC will be the last seven days of every month. To pass activity check, you must have ten comments within the month the check is covering. These comments do not all have to take place within the same thread or post (though it'd be more convenient for us to check, hint hint).
If you do not reply to the Activity Check, you will have the chance to reply to the list of those who missed AC with your explanation/activity; with a good reason, you will pass the AC.
If you wish, you may ask for a second chance. This will allow you to skip one activity check. However, you will have to provide double activity (twenty comments) in the following activity check, and you may not second chance twice in a row.
Characters who have apped within the previous application cycle are exempt.
10. We accept three instances of the same character at once. We allow one OU and two AU versions of each character to be in the game at the same time. The nature of this roleplaying game allows us to accept AUs, but we expect that version to be IC. We also do not allow a single player to fill multiple slots. Game transplants will fill an AU slot of their character.
11. We have a canon cap of thirty characters per canon. This cap is in place because we allow multiple instances of the same character. If a canon hits its cap you will be unable to reserve or app into the cast until a slot opens up. In the event a canon is approaching its limit, reserved characters will get the first chance at the remaining slots up until those reservations expire. After those, the slots will go first come, first serve until they are full.
12. WHEN IN DOUBT, JUST ASK
