Bestiary: Rare

Akuma
World: D. Gray Man
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: These creatures appear as bleeding cherubs, red and white with twisted, broken limbs. They have no sentience, though they do babble and shriek at a loud enough level to shatter eardrums. They can fire bullets out of the blood that streams from their bodies--anyone shot by one will turn to stone and then shatter into dust that chokes those around them unless they are extremely resistant to supernatural attack. Touching the blood on their bodies will have the same result. They have enough strength to tear someone to pieces--if they kill someone this way, they may piece together that person's skin and wear it, masquerading as that person and using illusion magics to make those around them believe they really are that person. Only those who can sense and break illusions will be able to tell the difference.

Bar Bot
World: Anarchy Reigns
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 8
Description: These robots are humanoid, and rather non-threatening at first glance, save for the gauntlets that cover their forearms. They are completely mute and will only react if spoken to. When they are addressed politely, they can be asked to complete rudimentary tasks for characters (they are especially skilled at mixing drinks), though they will not attack other monsters for a character. However, rudeness will cause them to attack characters, usually by means of inescapable tornadoes of fire and kicks with limbs lit by white-hot flames. They are incredibly fast and almost indestructible; they must be weakened and dismantled at the joints to be defeated. Occasionally, they may malfunction and attack characters with no provocation. These robots only appear on floor eighty-eight at nighttime. They tend to lurk at the counter or in the corners of the room.

Big Sister
World: Bioshock
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: Clad in a diving suit that seems to be patched together from various kinds of skins, these creatures are found in or near water. Their diving helmet has two shattered portholes, though nothing can be seen inside them, as if the suit was existing on its own. Big Sisters are extremely quick, especially in the water, and attack using various projectile energy attacks. They can drain health and supernatural energy from those around them via the large needle which takes the place of their left arm. They will not harm small children--in fact, if a small child draws near to one, they will feel the urge to stay with the Big Sister as if hypnotized, climbing into the waterproof, oxygenated cage on the Big Sister's back and remaining there contentedly. They will not be released from their stupor unless the Big Sister is killed, but they will attack anyone who attempts to hurt the Big Sister.

Creeper
World: Minecraft
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: 10
Danger Rating NIGHT: 10
Description: These creatures--ranging in size from a quarter to twice as tall as the average human--are masters of camoflague, coming in colors that match the floor they're on perfectly. They make no noise as they move about, only being spotted by their piercing white eyes. If they manage to get within range of someone, they will explode, and this explosion will inevitably kill anyone who is at point-blank range. Once they catch sight of someone they gain the ability to spot them through any obstructions. They will not leave the floor they are on.

Crimson Blood
World: World of Darkness
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: Ghosts drenched in blood. It's easy to follow the trails of blood they leave, but probably not the best idea. Each group is composed of ten ghost warriors led by a sergeant. They will attack anyone not wearing red, and when engaging an enemy, they do not back down until every last one of them is killed or their enemy dies. They cannot enter the dormitory rooms, but will pursue an enemy to the door. If they run into White Private ghosts, they will stop their chase to fight them, but getting in between Crimson Bloods and White Privates is a guarantee of death.

Darknut
World: Legend of Zelda
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: A creature about twice the size of a human and covered in blood red armor, this monster will attack as soon as it spots someone. It is a bit slow on its feet, so weighed down, but it is a master swordsman, and attempting to take it on in a sword fight with anything less than master-level swordplay will end in a messy death. To kill it the armor, which is nearly imprevious to damage, must be removed, revealing a paper white, featureless creature resembling an anthropomorphic dog. It becomes much faster without its armor, but it can be directly attacked.

Deathclaw
World: Fallout
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: Humanoid lizards reaching fifteen to twenty feet in size, their razor-sharp claws are two feet in length and slice up most anything. They appear to have been skinned, constantly dripping blood wherever they go, but it doesn't seem to have slowed them down any. They're completely blind, their eyes having been torn out, but they have spectacular hearing and smell to make up for it. They're fast, too. Maybe you should just try to get to someplace too small for them to crawl into and hope they don't break it down before morning, when they vanish.

Filth-Corrupted
World: The Secret World
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: These are vaguely humanoid in shape, covered entirely by a moving layer of oily black ooze. They occasionally seem to cry out for help, but the voice is shrill and not anything that could be considered human. They are not very strong, but they're incredibly durable. They mostly attack by rushing their opponent and exploding in a kamikaze attack to splatter the ooze that covers them. Coming into contact with this filth will cause it to expand until it eventually covers the whole body and smothers the character in question to death, upon which the character's remains will turn into another of these monsters.

Floormaster
World: Legend of Zelda
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 8
Description: These appear, at first, as pools of blood with no apparent source. Approach them, however, and a rotting hand will reach out of the pool and attempt to grab you. If you are grabbed, you will not escape without killing the creature or letting it rip off whatever it's grabbed. It will attempt to drag you into the pool of blood. If it succeeds, it will transport you somewhere else in the Tower. You'll be covered in blood--and that blood tends to attract monsters.

Gachnar
World: Buffyverse
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY:
Danger Rating NIGHT: 5
Description: A small demon, only perhaps half a foot tall and dressed in leather, he looks almost comical at first sight. His mouth has been bandaged up, and so he cannot speak. Being in the same room as him causes your worst fears to manifest--they're only illusions, but they'll feel real to you even if no one else can see them. Gachnar himself is easily destroyed, but he's very fast and hard to find in the chaos he often brings. Remain in the room with him too long, and your fears really will start to manifest, causing actual injury and possible death if they're those sorts of fears--though you will be the only target.

Genestealer
World: Warhammer 40k
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 8
Description: These monstrous creatures are capable of both bipedal and quadrupedal movement. They are faster on four legs and they have limbs that extend up out of their shoulders, with three talons each the length of the creature's head. These talons are capable of cutting through anything as easy as butter. Genestealers communicate with one another psychically, and it is possible to stop them in their tracks only momentarily with psychic interference. They can be killed through physical means if a character can get close enough.

If a character is able to survive an injury dealt by a Genestealer, they will find themselves beginning to mutate within the hour. Limbs with talons will grow from their back, ripping through skin to expose themselves. The transformation will continue until the only signs of the character's previous species are their eyes and whatever pieces of their body are still intact after being mutated so quickly. This process only takes a day to complete. Characters will hear the psychic "voices" of the other Genestealers in their minds, but as they are not true Genestealers, the communication manifests only as unintelligible, piercing shrieks.

After three days, the trauma of the transformation will kill the character.

Gentlemen
World: Buffyverse
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 8
Description: At first glance these are simply humans in suits--if they're humans with a strange, bluish sort of skin, that might not be that unusual for the Tower. Look them in the face, though, and they've got gaping holes where their eyes should be, though their mouths stretch across their faces to the point of breaking the seams of their lips. They hover off the ground and are always followed by straightjacketed, bandaged creatures crawling at their feet; these creatures will attempt to grab and hold characters down while the Gentlemen carve out any organs they may need--and they need all of them. There are only four Gentlemen in the Tower. Anyone near these creatures renders you incapable of speaking, so hopefully you don't have to call out for help. They are injured, and can even be killed, by the sound of voices.

Gnarl
World: Buffyverse
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 8
Description: Goblin-like creatures with child-like mentalities, speaking in mocking, rhyming singsong. They have long claws that drip a paralyzing poison that has no cure except the death of the Gnarl who paralyzed them. If a Gnarl paralyzes a victim, though, they will consume their skin--and then leave them. The paralyzing poison will keep the character alive in this state, although it does nothing to relieve the pain. Hopefully a friend will put you out of your misery before you have to endure a monster eating you alive, because you won't die until your heart is removed or your head is severed.

Goat Butler
World: Umineko no Naku Koro ni
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 10
Description: These creatures are humans with goat heads sewn crudely onto naked bodies; the stitches are bloody and infected. Travelling in large groups, these creatures can be heard ahead of time sounding like a stampede fast approaching. They have immense, superhuman strength and disable superhuman abilities when they draw near. They use these abilities to chew up victims with their teeth until there's nothing left but a stain upon the ground. These creatures cannot be fought, but one can hide or run from them.

Hellhound
World: Call of Duty: Zombies Mode
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 10
Description: These are dogs entirely composed of fire. They have no body to speak of except for that the flame makes for them, and as they attack with teeth and claws of fire they will incinerate their victim as well as tear it to pieces if their victim cannot escape. There is no way to defeat these creatures, but their arrival is forecasted by the smoke from their flames, and so it is possible to escape from them. They will not enter water.

Hound of Tindalos
World: Lovecraft
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: It's called a hound, but that's only because it's the closest term that can be used to describe it--it's a beast for certain, but its resemblance to a canine is superficial. Still, it's what the mind can best comprehend it as, and so it tends to appear like that, even if its form slithers and twists into an incomprehensible mess as the mind attempts to see it for what's really stalking them.

And that's what it does--at night it will select someone to stalk, for reasons known only to it but having to do with some indiscernible property of that person. It will chase them through time and space, between time and space, appearing and vanishing at will. It's not especially quick, but it's very patient, and it doesn't give up its chase until dawn breaks and it vanishes. This beast can even chase its prey into the dormitory room, unless the room is magically sealed with an especially strong barrier.

Powerful magic repels but cannot kill it. If caught, its prey will have that thing it wants sucked out of them with what can only be described as not a proboscis (though that's what it is as well). The trauma of this, as well as the impossibility of the creature up close, will kill the victim.

Imperial Drone
World: Homestuck
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 10
Description: Immensely large robots, apparently hastily cobbled together out of whatever materials were available, stalk characters and present pails to them. What they're actually asking to be put in those pails, though, is blood--anyone who draws near will be dumped into one of the buckets and slowly, painfully mashed to pieces. They cannot be in any way fought--you run and hide or you die.

Incubus/Succubus
World: Tower
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: 6
Danger Rating NIGHT: 8
Description: Impossibly beautiful humanoid creatures, they are the epitome of what is scientifically considered "beautiful". They are perfectly symmetrical and their bone structures are made to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Their horns extend six inches from their foreheads, with claws on their fingers and toes that are almost as long as the digits themselves. The leather-like skin of their wings and tails stretches across the whole of their backs. They give off a sense of being too perfect; this effect will erode the thought processes of a character as they try to comprehend the beauty they are seeing, until their mind is blank enough that they become easy prey for the tempting monsters in the expected way for creatures like these. They will not attack children.

Invisible
World: Kingdom Hearts
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: These creatures only appear in large, dark areas--they don't have enough space to form anywhere else. As such, they're nearly impossible to spot, completely black with a dark grey blindfold over their eyes. Resembling, when they can be seen, a sort of demon or fallen angel made of shadow, they carry swords the same size as they are, and are quick about using it to dispatch their victims to consume their hearts. They cannot be attacked with a physical attack or weapon--magic, psychic energy, or something similar is required. They will not attack a character who lacks a heart.

Klarissa
World: Puella Magi
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: These creatures are odd-looking dolls, drawn to musical instruments and those who are currently playing them. They appear as drawings come to life, two-dimensional but moving nonetheless. They dance in response to music, and this dancing spreads their art style about--it won't be long before the entire room and everyone in it is two-dimensional and oddly colored.

Unfortunately, most people can't survive being two-dimensional, and thus this is often quickly fatal. The dolls themselves are fairly simple to destroy, though they are pretty quick.

Lindwurm and Tatzelwurm
World: Scion
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 10
Description: Two enormous serpentine creatures, both 40 feet long, with skin that was originally pale-white but is now perpetually stained in blood. They only appear at night on the floors large enough to house them, and always appear in tandem; the Tatzelwurm has limbs that allows it to climb, but the Lindwurm cannot. They have no eyes, but both of their ends are ringed with three different rows of bloodstained, razor-sharp teeth. They zero in on their prey through sound vibrations and, in most cases, one will use its immense bulk to block off the stairway - effectively cutting off escape, once they emerge - while the other attempts to curl around the character and crush them to death, or chases them into the jaws of the wurm waiting at the staircase. Their hides are incredibly thick, and most attacks bounce right off them; the only way to slay them is to do so from the inside out.

Lorophage Demon
World: Buffyverse
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: Resembling far, far too large mosquitoes, barely fitting in most areas at eight feet in length, these demons are rarely seen and very quiet. They can walk on two legs, use all four to climb on the walls or ceilings, or fly about as they please. Their head is entirely mosquito-like, including a long, dangerous-looking proboscis that they use like any mosquito would. Instead of draining blood, though, they plunge it into the brains of their victims and drain traumatic memories. Anyone being fed on will be forced to relive all these memories, though, which leads to insanity.

These creatures are completely resistant to physical attacks and mostly resistant to magical ones--it will take a lot of firepower to bring one down.

Malboro
World: Final Fantasy
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: This creature - a swirling mass of bloodstained tentacles and rotted, but no less sharp, teeth - only appears at night. Once it sets its sight on a character, it will continually pursue them and will not stop for any reason, save for death. Its breath is often used to incapacitate characters - should it get close enough to spew its noxious fumes, characters will find themselves blinded, poisoned, or unable to use their powers (or, if they're really unlucky, all three). Prolonged exposure to the Malboro's breath will cause a character to be turned to stone, and the Malboro will use its tentacles to drag the petrified character off to its lair (usually one of the darker, more dangerous sections of the Tower). It will guard the statue jealously until the character begins to turn back to flesh and blood. The character's hands and arms will revert first, and will immediately be devoured; then the legs, which will be devoured; and then the head, which will also be devoured.

Nazgûl
World: Lord of the Rings
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 10
Description: You'll feel the Nazgul before you see them--approximately fifteen minutes before they enter a floor the characters on it will be hit with a growing sense of unease, and as they draw nearer the feeling will only intensify until it's a sort of lizard-brain terror in their minds. When they enter the floor, all characters on it, unless fully resistant to such influences, will begin to grow disoriented and ill.

The eight Nazgul themselves are only torn and mouldy black cloaks--they have no discernable features. They move rapidly and can melt most objects with a shriek that will often reduce those who hear it to an animal-like panic. There is no surviving an attack if you are struck by them--their weapons and bodies, if they have them, are so violently poisonous that it will only be a few minutes before you begin vomiting up your own melted organs and dying.

Once the Nazgul have seen prey they do not stop hunting it until they have caught it or dawn arrives, and they can enter the elevators. If you are targeted, the only possible way to escape them is to outrun them up the stairs all the way to the dormitories--even then you're not safe until you reach a room and lock the door behind you.

The Nazgul cannot be fought--indeed, fighting them only draws their attention and leads to them hunting you down. It's best not to be seen by them at all.

Prize Pods
World: Kingdom Hearts
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: 0
Danger Rating NIGHT: 0
Description: Floating pots, dark grey in color, that float in out-of-the-way spots in the Tower. They're quick to disappear if you don't spot and smash one in a moment or two, but if you do manage to smash one in time, you'll get the prize inside--it can be a small object found in the Tower, a miniature prize pod stuffed animal (the restaurant is fond of asking for these near-impossible-to-find toys), organs, or blood.

Purple People Eater
World: Sheb Wooley
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 10
Description: It is impossible to fully perceive this creature--staring at it for too long causes disorientation, headaches, and the feeling the thing is something that shouldn't exist in this plane of existence. There are a few features that can be made out, though: it is a distinct shade of purple that exists nowhere else but on its twisting, shifting body, its feet are of a pigeon's with large talons, it has only one large, jagged horn, and it has only one eye that can shift anywhere on its body and rotate 360 degrees in all directions. It flies through the air and calls out with twisted, impossible music via its horn that has a mild hypnotic effect, making those who hear it slow to escape unless they have a strong willpower. It swoops down upon prey and consumes them, starting with their entrails and finishing the rest only after the victim dies. It favors those with little to no supernatural abilities.

ReDead
World: Legend of Zelda
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: Bloated blue corpses with brown funeral masks covering their faces. These creatures do not wander, instead standing very still and moaning in apparent pain--and they do appear rather mutilated, with mangled, twisted arms and legs or organs left to dangle out of their bodies. To defeat them the mask must be removed--and it will rip off their face when removed. If you make eye contact with one of these creatures it will shriek--this shriek paralyzes anyone who hears it, at which point the ReDead will tear out the throat of its victim and drain its energy.

Revenant
World: The Secret World
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: 10
Danger Rating NIGHT: 10
Description: These creatures are drawn to misery and pain, and therefore are likely to follow on the heels of violent slaughters and particularly terrible monster attacks, though and sort of misery can draw them in. They appear as cloaked beings that constantly shift in impossible ways beneath their cloak, wielding large knives in both hands (or maybe the knives are their hands; it's difficult to tell). They strike to wound and not to kill--their blades are covered in every sort of disease imaginable, and being cut by one, unless the victim is in possession of or knows someone with extraordinarily potent healing magic and skills, leads to developing at least one horrible disease. The blades of a revenant are even capable of passing things like devastating computer viruses on to more robotic victims. Physical attacks do nothing to these creatures, and most magical attacks suffer the same fate: only the most powerful of supernatural attacks has any hope of doing anything to these creatures, and even so it will only cause them to turn into dozens of ravens and fly off; they cannot be killed. If you see a revenant, the best course of action is to run, as they cannot travel very quickly up staircases.

Shadow
World: Neverland
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 10
Description: Sometimes, at night, you'll notice something's just not right about your shadow. That's because it's not your shadow any longer, but a Shadow. Once you've noticed that its movements don't quite match yours, it will open its eyes - they glow eerily, and one will feel compelled to stare into them and not do so much as move a muscle. Do that, however, and the Shadow will draw itself up before you and make a slicing motion across your neck. This frees the Shadow from you, and you have until daylight to find a way to recapture it; should it still be separated from you when the sun rises, you will die a horribly painful death in the manner you fear most. That's not all you have to worry about, however; while it's loose, it will seek to forcibly remove the shadows of other people by dragging their shadows away by the neck, and if it succeeds the target will collapse, dead of a snapped neck. These other Shadows will then seek out more victims, and will disappear when the sun rises. The only way to recapture one's Shadow is to somehow manage to burn it to death - easier said than done because it can so easily vanish and reappear by escaping into any other shadows - and then ingest the ashes. If you only go it halfway, and burn the Shadow but do not ingest its ashes, you will burn up from the inside out at sunrise.

Turok-Han
World: Buffyverse
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: Humanoid creatures with pale skin too large for their bodies, these creatures have the intellect and viciousness of a rabid animal. Being wounded by one, as well as being quite painful, removes all above-human abilities for one night--this includes any healing capabilities. They are incredibly durable--nothing but the most powerful weapons can hope to pierce the skin, and magic or psychic powers seem ineffective--unless you combine the two and create a magically- or psychically-enhanced weapon, which proves useful. They can only be killed by decapitation or sunlight, and are not found during the day.

Tyranto Rex
World: Kingdom Hearts
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: 9
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: These huge reptiles are around eight feet tall and eleven feet long. Their bodies are mainly black, but purple spikes protrude from the head and limbs. These spikes seem almost gaseous in nature and shimmer oddly when they catch the light. If they are touched, they will bypass the skin entirely to rend the tissue and bone underneath it, and they cannot be blocked by strictly physical means, only by the magical/spiritual. Being in the presence of this monster will cause a character to experience inexplicable dread, with prolonged exposure causing bloody, dreamlike hallucinations.

These monstrous dinosaurs are perfectly capable of spitting fireballs, but they usually prefer to do the work with their massive, unhinging jaws. However, their teeth have the same unusual quality as the spikes on their body. Without this easy route to properly breaking skin, they rely purely on the impossible strength of their jawbones to finish the job once their teeth have pulped a character's innards. They're fairly slow, but incredibly strong; one swing of their tail can easily break bones.

Ultimate Chimera
World: Mother/Earthbound
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 10
Description: This creature has obviously been created in a lab, looking like a patchwork of other beasts: its body is magenta, and it bulges almost out of its skin with the required muscles to hold up and use its ridiculously large head--large because its mouth takes up most of the space. The teeth have the cutting edge of diamonds but none of the brittleness. Its tail is long, prehensile, and barbed at the end with deadly poison, and it has large, leathery purple wings like that of an impossibly large bat that allow it to take to the air. It's impervious to damage, and it can swallow up nearly anything in a bite or two. Fortunately, it's not that clever--it tends to charge in more or less straight lines and has difficulty at turning quickly. Still, anyone cornered by it won't last long.

Unknown 3
World: Final Fantasy
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: This monster is a spread open ribcage from some creature that's been hideously experimented on. Its organs dangle out and on the ground. It crawls to move, dragging itself painfully on the floor with what remains of its limbs. It's not quick, but being on the same floor as one of these creatures creates a sense of lethargy and sadness that only grows worse as the monster draws closer. If the monster grabs hold of its victim, it will attach itself to them and close its ribcage around them, sucking all their insides out through a proboscus. It's quite resilient in spite of its fragile appearance; long-distance attacks are the most useful, though simply outrunning it is the best option.

Wall of Flesh
World: Adventure Time
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 4
Description: As the name indicates, it's a wall of flesh. It tends to ooze blood and pus, and it looks more like a multitude of creatures were mashed together to create it--if you look, you can see limbs, eyeballs, and various other organs and body parts within it. These will block a pathway entirely. If you touch it, the wall will try to absorb you into it.

Weeping Angel
World: Doctor Who
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: 10
Danger Rating NIGHT: 10
Description: These are statues--while their most common form is, as the name implies, that of a weeping angel, they may take on other forms, so long as that form has something to cover its eyes with. As long as someone or something is watching them, statues are all they are, although being on the same floor as one completely nullifies your superhuman abilities no matter where on the floor they are.

If no one can see them, however, they can and do move. Prone to tormenting their prey, these creatures may move about in little teasing motions, inch by inch, waiting for someone to notice. They may, however, cut right to the chase.

If you are attacked by a weeping angel it will do one of two things: if you are lucky, it will kill you immediately, reducing you to a bloody splash of organs on the floor, wall, or ceiling. If you are unlucky, when you next see them you will be staring them in the eyes and they will let you go. You will begin to suffer severe headaches, hallucinations, and confusion, however, and in one week a newly formed weeping angel will explode out of you--killing you in the process, of course.

They can also cause most light bulbs and flashlights to flicker. They have less luck with firelight. Of course, none of that will do any good at all if you can't see where they are. Remember, don't blink.

Wendigo
World: The Secret World
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: These creatures appear as emaciated humans with ash-grey skin. Their fingernails are broken and bleeding and their lips are cracked and cut through, making it easy to see the unnaturally large amount of too-large, too-sharp teeth in their mouths. Constantly ravenous, they will attack, kill, and eat anything they can bring down. Upon consuming a victim they grow larger in size, and can therefore become quite gigantic in the larger floors. These creatures are unnaturally fast and difficult to spot in the forested areas they favor, and proximity to one drains all superhuman abilities. They do not show up on scans of rooms, radar, or any other sensing powers or technology--they can be spotted with normal senses, though it's extremely difficult. Wendigo can be killed, though it is extremely hard to pin one down long enough to do so, and if they are large, they often cannot fit up the staircase to follow prey that escapes there.

White Private
World: World of Darkness
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 9
Description: Ghosts white as sheets and difficult to stare directly at, as their constantly shifting forms are painful to the eyes and blend together. Each group consists of eight warriors and one sergeant leading. They attack at range, with longbows that sting the soul like ice. If completely outmatched, they will retreat, but otherwise they will pursue their enemy as far as the dormitories. They attack anyone who isn't wearing white. If they come across Crimson Blood ghosts, they will stop other hostilities to fight them, but getting in between White Privates and Crimson Bloods is a guarantee of death.

Worrit
World: The Divide
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: N/A
Danger Rating NIGHT: 8
Description: A lumbering black dog with humorously exaggerated facial proportions. Making eye contact with it inexplicably compels a character to smile. The character's lungs will collapse on themselves at the first sound of laughter. The longer a character keeps eye contact, the more tempting it is to laugh; it is possible to fight the effects by breaking eye contact, but the dog will take this as a sign of submission and attack quickly thereafter.

Zombie Goat
World: Tower
Rarity: Rare
Danger Rating DAY: 5
Danger Rating NIGHT: 7
Description: Sad, bug-eyed creatures, these goats are as tall as the average human and rather stocky. Their flesh is rotten, gangrenous and falling off altogether in places. All of its bodily fluids are acidic, including what little blood and pus remains in its tissue, though their tears are particularly caustic - dangerous, as these goats cry quite often. It is capable of exhaling a foul-smelling toxin that paralyzes the victim. Though the paralysis may wear off, numbness sets into the body afterwards, lasting hours at best and days at the worst. That's if the character can escape without being eaten as soon as they are paralyzed; this monster is capable of unhinging its rotten jaw to impossible widths in order to swallow characters whole. They will often charge characters with their sharp, broken horns.
